It has been a while since I have posted on my blog, but I wanted to update anyone who was planning on going to the Sketchbook Project show in San Francisco. The update is that it won't be in San Francisco anymore it will be in Oakland. If you are wondering where and when in Oakland I am going to tell you.
Where: 1485 9th Street, Suite 100 Oakland, California
When: June 1st - 20th, 1-5pm daily
So if you are in Northern California and want to go see it then that will be your best chance. It will be in Oakland for almost a month. I hope everyone gets to go see it. I am considering doing the Sketchbook Project 2013 as well. I will try to be better at posting on my blog.

Sketchbook Project 2012 Completed!
It has been months since I last posted. Since then the holidays have come and gone and the Sketchbook Project deadline has come to pass. I mailed my sketch book project back to NY however I did take some pictures before I mailed it back. My sketchbook was post marked by the deadline so it should go out on tour starting this April. If you are in Southern California and can make to L.A. to an art gallery called iam8bit. The Sketchbook Project will be there May 24th-26th. If you are in Northern California and can get to S.F. there will be what they are calling a Pop-Up Shop from June 2nd - 23rd. I don't know where in S.F. it is going to be yet because it is not posted on the site. For the other cities that the Sketchbook Project is going to they are:
-Brooklyn, NY
-Chicago, IL
-Portland, OR
-Greater Boston Area
-Portland, ME
-Vancouver, Canada
-Toronto, Canada
-Philadelphia, PA
-Atlanta, GA
-Austin, TX
Not it that order, but if you are in or near any of those cities and want to know when it is coming to you go here: http://ow.ly/8QENX
I wanted to do the Sketchbook Project because I wanted to prove to myself that I could still draw. Before I started down this path I had stopped drawing for about 3 years. So my skills were not exactly what they used to be. My drawing ability still isn't what it could be but I feel good about what I have drawn. Now I feel like I have accomplished something that means something to me and not just homework. I had fun doing this and the Art House Co-op is amazing for putting this on.
If you can make it to one of the stops on the Sketchbook Project art tour check out my book, but also take the time to look at as many of the other sketchbooks that are on the tour as well. A lot of work goes into the sketchbook that get submitted. I plan on going to one of the days in LA. If you can't make it to on of the stops, here are the pictures that I took of my drawings. My theme was Tree-house.
If you do end up going to a show enjoy it. If not I hope you enjoyed my drawings.
